Tony Sparks was the legendary host and creator of The Brain Wash open-mic that ran from April 1999 to December 2017. Open year-round, the open mic was a hub for comedians including Ali Wong, Al Madrigal, W. Kamau Bell, Irene Tu, and other Bay Area greats.
The Wash open mic aims to honor the legacy of The Brain Wash and the Bay Area stand-up comedy scene as a whole. Come discover your new favorite comedian as polished veterans perform new material along with hopeful new stars.
